Ross Ferguson, the Chairman and CEO of DR Mortgage Advisors and the administrator of DR Mortgage Trust, is a trailblazer in the mortgage industry. He is also an avid golfer, curling enthusiast, and talented drummer.

Ross successfully established the first independent mortgage securitization in the country, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and expertise. Before founding DR Mortgage Advisors Inc. and its affiliates, he served as the President of Maple Mortgage Trust Advisors Inc., which he sold in 1999.

Ross’s journey in mortgage securitization began in 1992 when he became actively involved in the field. Prior to that, he held significant roles at National Westminster Bank of Canada, including Co-Head of Structured Finance and Vice-President, Treasury and Exchange.

Before his time at National Westminster Bank, Ross gained experience as a credit analyst and a licensed fixed income trader at Greenshields Incorporated. He also worked as an analyst and trader in the Investment Department of National Trust Company.

Ross’s expertise and contributions extend beyond his professional achievements. He shared his knowledge through a column in Canadian Treasurer Magazine from 1990 to 2000. Additionally, he provided valuable consulting services to the Province of Ontario Savings Office and R-M Trust Company, laying the groundwork for the launch of Maple NHA Mortgage Trust in 1994.

Ross holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and has completed Level One of the CFA program. With his pioneering spirit and diverse interests, including his passion for golf, curling, and drumming, Ross Ferguson continues to make significant contributions to the mortgage industry as a respected leader and visionary.
